Clear Conversations: Chloé Mead

Laura-Jane Davis - Head of Operations at Clear Utility Solutions

We’re back with the second instalment of Clear Conversations - our series that shines a light on our people. This time, we’re sitting down with Chloé Mead, Sales and Customer Support Advisor, to hear more about her role and what drives her day to day.

Who are you and what’s your role at Clear Utility Solutions?

I’m Chloé, the Sales and Customer Support Advisor at CUS. Day-to-day, I typically help process sales for our agents, provide support for them, our customers and our Head of Operations Laura, and liaise with our suppliers.

Tell us a bit about your background and what brought you to CUS?

My previous work has been in business, startups, women’s policy development, and communications for the third and public sector. I have a knack for solving problems, mapping user experiences, and working with people, so I love this role for the opportunity to develop our SOPs, build relationships with stakeholders, and work with such a warm, passionate team.

What’s something you’ve learned already in your time here?

How intricate the sales processes can be and just how much goes into finding and securing good energy deals for our customers.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I love the team. Everyone is so helpful from all departments, no matter what their title. I’m also on a winning streak with our weekly huddle’s riddle game so that doesn’t hurt!

What’s something people might not expect about you?

I have a fashion business! I provide an in-store fashion rental business in Leeds when I’m not supporting our Clear Utility Solutions customers.

When you’re not at work, what keeps you busy?

My dogs! A springer spaniel and german shepherd don’t have you sat around for too long.

Finish this sentence: Good service is…

...Going above and beyond. And as a Yorkshire girl, it always comes with a smile!
